Art is Better Than Booze

Yo! I am Cat Downing. In April 2019 I gave up the booze and since then I've been pouring my heart and soul into ART and I've never been happier. I'm all about super positivity, joy, fun and enthusiasm, which I think is reflected in my work.

I love pylons (obviously), architecture and super cool people, focusing mainly on things from Bonnie Scotland. I grew up in St. Andrews but have been in glorious Glasgow for over a decade via Dundee and Edinburgh. Each place has it's own unique charm which I like to convey in my pictures.

Judy Murray and Friends at a JMF fundraiser.

Good Causes

With the Electric Ladies Series and the Murray Tennis prints 20% goes to Glasgow Women's Library and The Judy Murray Foundation (JMF) respectfully. Additionally 20% of The People Makes Glasgow prints, mugs, bags, magnets and badges go to Shelter Scotland and 20% of the Christmas cards sales will go to Scottish Refugee Council. PaintsPylons has thus far raised over £250 for JMF, £100 for Scottish Refugee Council and over £50 for GWL. I'm super chuffed to help these great causes where I can.
